New Zealand architecture is rich and varied. New Zealand people value architecture for its creative and practical aspects being essential for a comfortable life style in the temperate to cooler temperate areas of its isles.

There have been many famous New Zealand architects including Benjamin Mountfort, Miles Warren, Ian Athfield, and Peter Beaven.

New Zealand has many often unrecognized architects who create consistently excellent designs including John Wilson, Noel Welford and Barry Bracefield in Timaru. The Wiki Administrator spent 7 years working as an architect in the South Canterbury area of New Zealand during the 1990's.
